worktocode Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Hello everybody, i wanted to create a pattern with, in that example, circles and they should follow a path I’ve drawn. Is there any option that that the circles can snap to the path or if there is an option to set a pattern? In that example it’s okay to do it with hand but not really precisely. thanks all. // Ryan Quote
NotMyFault Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 It’s easy to create same size circles along a path, but I can’t see a way to create circles having such regular size variations along a path. if you have a font contains circles as letters, you can use path text and set the font size manually. Could you share with me how it would be possible to make that with same sized circles? Quote
NotMyFault Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Create a curve, then set stroke to dashed. Set caps to round. set dash to 0 set gap to taste IMG_0943.MOV worktocode 1 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. NotMyFault Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Another way, a bit more complex create a curve choose artistic text tool click on curve to create path text use glyph browser from text panel choose font symbol, and filled circle. Double-click to add use screen keyboard to insert tab mark both circle and tab and copy paste as needed for number of circles select a circle, set size to e.g. 4 px Repeat for all circles, set size increments of 4 if needed, adjust tab spacing and alignment of characters to tab worktocode 1 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
