Cook1987 Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Hello Everyone im looking for direction on drawing in version 1. I make steel signs for a living and use another program to do so. I’m told that affinity is a great software but I just haven’t found enough information on how to use the software. I ll try to leave a picture of what I do and explain what I’m looking for I’m a newbie so really anything can help me right now 😁 the sign below shows cut outs and voids . The software I use is great but time consuming when drawing , I’m erasing lines and I have to go back and forth with another software to see if there’s tiny dots or something I missed . It’s a pain . I just want to have a clean drawing for a tool path . I’m looking for a book or videos to help me with this . Quote

Using Designer you can create your signs using vector shapes and lines rather than using a pixel based tool. Not sure if you are using a laser cutter but using an export format such as SVG may be able to be imported into such a tool. I found some tutorials on you tube that may help guide you 1. 2.
