Alejj Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I have many slices with iconography that need to share the same export settings: 20h, 30h, 80h, etc. I know I can make an export preset that saves the settings per slice, but how can I set up the 20h, 30h, 80h etc. once and reuse it for multiple slices? I haven't found any way to do this and it's painstaking to set up for each and every icon. Quote
David in Яuislip Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Select layers Click Create slice button Apply Export preset All highlighted slices change from Single PNG to whatever your preset creates, in this case 20w, 30w & 40w pngs Export slices and 12 files are output Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10
Old Bruce Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 If you don't want to make a Preset (for whatever reason) you can just copy and paste. Unfortunately it is less than obvious how to do this due to cryptic icons. Step one, set up one Slice and copy it. Step two, select all (I have included the original slice, this is not actually necessary) and Paste. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Alejj Posted April 4, 2023 Author Posted April 4, 2023 Thank you, guys. @Old Bruce That did the trick! It was really convoluted to figure out. It doesn't say what an "export setup" is, and the paste button calls it "export preset". It was what I needed. @David I don't understand how to set up the preset so it applies to new slices. It just saves my settings for the current slices? Quote

To create a preset you need at least one slice Create the variations, 20w, 30w whatever then follow the pictures below to save it To apply the preset, highlight the slices to be modified and select the preset from the dropdown The whole thing is a bit jargonified and the Help didn't help me much, eg Export preset—presents slice presets offering common graphics formats and options for Apple app icon design. I prefer to think of it as Export preset—presents slice variations etc Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10
