I just purchased the universal license to get the V2 apps from the Affinity Store directly.
The license shows up in my account like expected and everything looks good so far.
My current OS is Windows 10.

When I want to activate it though, it never succeeds. I tried yesterday already and thought it just maybe takes some time until this will work, but today I got the same problem after I tried multiple times.

There is no firewall or any other connection issue, everything is fine with my system. The only error message I get is that there was a connection issue, and that's it.

I even went that far, that I uninstalled every Affinity App, cleaned up the older v1's and the new v2's and fully disabled the firewall, still no luck.

I hope you can help my out here since this is really frustrating.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @sdobe.

If you can run the application in Trial mode, click on the Account icon (right side of Toolbar, or in the startup screen or the one you get with File > New). In its 3-line burger menu, click Check Connection, which will generate a report.

Or, from the "Connection Issue" dialog, I think you can right-click and choose Check Conenction, and get the same report.

It may provide more information. One apparently common issue is having the wrong date or time (esp. time zone) set on your computer, and the report will show if that is the case. If you don't understand the report, you can upload it here for us to look at. Any text editor should be able to display it, so you can see what is being uploaded.

Oh wow, it worked - thank you so much!

It was indeed a problem with the timezone.
The time was a little bit off on my machine and I just triggered a sync manually.
Afterwards, it worked right away.

Thank you very much for the fast help.
