My Affinity Photo stopped working after macOS Ventura 13.3 update

Seems like the hardware acceleration stops working, I turned off hardware acceleration for now.1417004300_Screenshot2023-04-02at04_04_20.thumb.png.a045c777f224735d61a39f9cde36dc8f.png

Hi @Andra and welcome to the forums. You didn't say when it crashes but I assume it's when launching or when opening/creating a document.

Please try starting Affinity with Ctrl held down (press it immediately after clicking the icon to avoid opening a context menu). It will bring up a window from which you can clear your defaults. Please advise if that solves the problem for you.

Cheers

Hi MikeTO,

I'm having the same problem with a crash on launch after clicking the app button. I can't get the control key to work, the app crashes before anything else happens. Is there another way to clear my defaults?

Thanks

Well you could try going into this folder (which may require revealing hidden system folders in macOS) /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer/ and in there deleting preferences.dat and new documentpanelstate.dat. That's just two things and I don't know if they're the source of your problem.

It might be better to wait for Serif or somebody else to provide a suggestion. You should also click Report in that dialog and provide the crash report here in the thread for Serif.

Good luck
