Arachnida
I really like the way Affinity came up with a solution for the money hungry "other brands", but I miss an alternative for Outlook LightRoom or Capture One. C1 was great but not anymore since they switched to a subscription model. (I know you can still "buy" a copy of the program but that's a joke, a bad one.) Maybe a good idea for the next step to make customers jump over from other brands?

Yep, the price of a licence is disgusting now and clearly intended to push customers to the subscription model. However, I did buy a licence two days ago because it was reduced by 40% which equated to the price of one year's subscription. Hopefully, I'll get three years use until an OS upgrade breaks it. We are still awaiting what you missing when switching from Adobe… Outlook and Capture One isn’t Adobe products, so, what are you missing that is related to this forum? Sorry, my bad! I meant LightRoom. And C1 is an alternative for LightRoom that I used for years in combination with Affinity. My point is that when switching from Adobe as a photographer AP is a great replacement for PhotoShop, but there is no serious alternative anymore for LightRoom since C1 changed their pricing politics. I also need a program to cull, rate, do basic adjustments and to sort my pictures. AffinityMakesMeSmile
