Fans Need To Respect K-Pop Idols Privacy.ytn.afphotoHere is the source file.

Hello, I'm Michelle.

I'm having issues with Affinity Photo. So I'm having issues with Layer Effects. When I click; on Layer Effects(FX) panel and click on one of the effects, for example, 'Outline' and change the settings like 'Radius.' Blocks would show up around a cutout image of me. The same goes for the other Layer Effects as well. I have attached a screenshot; so you know what I mean.

Are you still running MacOS Monterey and APh v.1.10.6?

No, I don't have MacOS Monterey anymore. I have MacOS Ventura (Version 13.2.1).

Then you have to go through the same route as you've done before with Monterey here for Ventura, try to adjust the APh performance settings under preferences in terms of "metal" computing etc. Try to disable "Hardware Acceleration: Metal" and setup instead "OpenGL" restart APh and compare if it makes any difference here in contrast to "Metal".

And aren't these the remains of an inconsistently deleted image background? Some parts look like relics from background erasure.

Try inserting a Fill layer (white) under the image, and provide a screenshot.

I disabled 'Metal' and changed to 'OpenGL.' And I'm still having the same issue. I have attached a screenshot.

Make and show some APh usage screenshots, which also show your fx panel settings and the layers panel contents (if possible). Or make a little screenrecording which shows the whole behavior here as an MP4 and post it here.

See ...

... or use some other dedicated third party screenrecording software.

It is important to see the image before the fx application, which will only highlight any errors in the erased background. It is not yet clear whether the problem is in the display (HW Acceleration) or in the image and its incorrectly/incompletely erased background. A source file would be helpful for this, so that it can be tested and verified by someone else.

Here is the source file. I hope this is what you are asking for. If you are not asking for this file. Can you be more specific?

I have uploaded the file to my post. Just so you know.

Your problem appears to be due to the Noise Reduction filter attached to the image of you (see below)

Activating that filter, in the Layers panel, and selecting Merge resolves the issue (not shown below)

Note: This bug appears fixed in Version 2

Yes, it looks better in V2.

But still there are certain inaccuracies - artifacts after inconsistent background deletion.
