libraw doesn't support that camera

https://www.libraw.org/supported-cameras

on macs there is an option to change to the apple engine, I think it's in the Develop Assistant, that may work

Microsoft Windows 10 Home, Intel i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 16 GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 1TB Whirlygig, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

Well that Panasonic cam DC-S5 II has been just announced Januar 2023 and thus is pretty new on the market. Neither Libraw nor Apple's latest RAW engine (in MacOS Ventura) do support that cam's RAW format yet. - MacOS Catalina will for sure be not updated anymore in terms of camera RAW support, so you can only hope that Libraw will support that DC-S5 II cam sometime later (probably in some months) then. So APh 2 will support that only as far as Libraw supports it and as far as then some newer APh version is released, which then in turn takes those Libraw updates into account!

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.6 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.6 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.6 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2 apps still not installed and thus momentary not in use under MacOS
