chrysenteron Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 (edited) After closing and only some minutes later trying to reopen a file the I have been working on, I got the Error messageĀ "The file contains features from a newer Affinity version". The file has been created using Affinity Designer V2 and has only ever been edited using V2. Any possibility to get the file to open again? There's more than 10h of work in this and I have no backup...š¤¦š»āāļø Thanks in advance! carl123 Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Your file opens OK in the V2 Beta I would suggest you download and use thatĀ Be advised you have a corrupt pdf file showing in Resource Manager of having a file size of 0px X 0px Once you open the file delete that layer in the layers panel and reload it from the original source (if still needed) The pdf is calledĀ Bodenprofil_6-1.pdf Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Just deleting the corrupted layer and saving didn't make it work with the current version, but this did the trick.Ā š Quote
Dan C Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Hi @chrysenteron, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this document and I'm glad to hear you've been able to recover the contents! I can confirm that our team believe the cause of this issue has been resolved in the 2.1 beta, meaning it should not occur for new documents created in 2.1, which we hope to release to retail in due course. We hope that you shouldn't encounter this again but should you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask Quote
