Hi

Pdf can create defects for unusual detail. This specific one had a double node, and the shape went through the rough, literally.
After deleting extra "invisible" node it went better.

Either way might be worth having a look at. Nodes close to each other also creates issues when expanding stroke.

Do you still have a copy of the afdesign file with the extra node present?  If so, can you upload it to our Dropbox here and I can get this logged with the Developers.

Not at the moment unfortunately. Believe it was two joined stroke shapes (1/4 circel + line).

In general, Affinity seems to not deal well with nodes close / upon each other.
