temega Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I have a document with embedded documents containing layers with different blend modes. When I set a layer's blend mode to "Overlay" in the embedded document, it doesn't apply correctly in the parent document. For example, a gradient fill with opacity set to "Overlay" blends correctly within the embedded document, but not when embedded in another document. One would expect that embedded document's, which ar basically just a group of layers, to work this way right? Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 The entire embedded document is a single layer, and acts as a single layer within the parent document. Nothing inside it will affect items outside it in the parent document. I am not sure if you are saying that you expect the Overlay blend mode within the embedded document to affect other items in the parent document. If that's what you mean, then no, it shouldn't. If that's not what you're saying, some screenshots might help illustrate what you mean.
