Figmatt Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Is there a keyboard shortcut to change stroke width (or object width)? Or a way to bind my own key to this action? Or a way to automate it? This would be a huge time saver for me. Quote
lepr Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Stroke width: [ to multiply by 0.9 ] to divide by 0.9 (in other words, multiply by 1.111...) Shift+[ to subtract 1 pixel regardless of stroke unit of measurement Shift+] to add 1 pixel regardless of stroke unit of measurement Figmatt 1 Quote

Figmatt Posted March 23, 2023 Author Posted March 23, 2023 Amazing, thanks both. I had looked at the help file but obviously not close enough! #ADHD Quote
Figmatt Posted March 23, 2023 Author Posted March 23, 2023 I've also set up a Keyboard Maestro shortcut on the = key to click Stroke panel then the Width text field ...for when i want to enter the value manually. I don't think that's doable within the app itself? Quote

However, if you have a mouse with a wheel you can change the stroke width (or height) in the panel by just placing the pointer over the field & using the wheel to change the value. The alt/option & shift keys change the increment/decrement steps. 5 minutes ago, v_kyr said: To some lesser degree ... Note that in V2 of the app this is in the Window menu, not the View menu. That toggles the panel so if I press it when it is visible it hides it, whereas my intention is to focus it. 1 hour ago, R C-R said: Correct. There is no way to combine 2 shortcuts like that. Anyway, task done! Much quicker thanks to this thread. Quote

Detach the panel so it's floating and keep it that way, when it's toggled on it should have the focus then! - For everything else, that's why I already wrote "... to some lesser degree"! Figmatt Posted March 24, 2023 Author Posted March 24, 2023 Sadly I do not get along with floating panels, I end up forever organising them. I'm on team #docked Megnusin 1 Quote
