Radosław Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 While wrapping imported SVG created in the same application it freaks out. It's ok when I wrap native shape from the same document, but I need to import this to mockup and wrap it. When importing this as png - wrapping won't work at all. Quote
Dan C Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Hi @Radosław, Thanks for your report! I can confirm I've been able to replicate a similar issue with a placed .SVG file and Warp Groups and therefore I'll be logging this with our developers now. 18 hours ago, Radosław said: When importing this as png - wrapping won't work at all. I can also confirm this is expected behaviour, the Vector Warp Groups do not function on Pixel layers, however Affinity Designer 2.1 beta currently includes Mesh Warp and Raster Perspective Live Filters in the Pixel Persona, allowing you to manipulate pixel content in a similar way to vector warp groups. You can find out how to sign up for the 2.1 betas here if you wish to try this new functionality before it's released - I hope this helps Radosław 1 Quote

Old Bruce Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 Try using the actual Curves layer from the Embedded Document in the Symbol instead of the Embedded Document. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

But how would you access that layer to do that? You'd have to Edit the embedded document, and copy the layer, then paste it back into the parent document, and turn it into a Symbol, wouldn't you? I should have mentioned that I already knew that that works, for this particular SVG anyway. Aside: One thing I haven’t tried is warping an SVG which contains one or more raster elements; I’m assuming that the raster portions won’t be warped, which I imagine may cause some weird issues in some SVGs. 15 hours ago, walt.farrell said: and turn it into a Symbol, Copying the curve, in this particular case, from the embedded SVG and then pasting it into the ‘parent artboard’ seems to work fine for me and doesn’t need an additional symbol. walt.farrell 1 Quote
