V2.04 / W10 Home: Cannot paint to Masks (pixel brush will paint a colour but will not clear with the opposite colour

Photo V2.0 on Windows 10 Home; version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.2728) on a Dell G3 laptop

 

I have both V1.10.5.1342 and V2.04 photo installed. V1 works correctly but on V2 I cannot paint on masks. The history shows that I am painting but nothing happens, when I Alt+Click the mask icon I can see that nothing is being painted. If I change the brush to the pixel tool it will paint Black or White (as appropriate) but it will not then paint the opposite colour to clear the mask.

Welcome to the forums

If possible could you provide a screen recording demonstrating this issue? This will allow me to investigate this further.

Thanks for getting back so soon, however I just joined the Beta programme, downloaded the latest Beta (and upgraded to the latest release) and it is working correctly on this V2.1.0.1732 Beta install. I am happy to use this Beta until the official release of V2.1.  But I will to try to get the screen recording if it will help?
