Mainecoon364 Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 I want to digitize sewing patterns and print them in actual sizes. Let’s say there is a 30 cm pattern. I want It to print It as 30 cm as It is originally. (I split the canvas into 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 parts) And Stick A4 papers together and get the actual pattern. Step 1. I shoot the photo of the patterns like in the image of “Shooting Patterns”. Step 2. I trace them in Affinity Designer. Step 3. I split the canvas into 12 equal parts and Number them like in the image of “Splitting The Canvas” Step 4. I place the patterns on these splitted canvas. Step 5. I print the splitted parts in A4 paper format. Question 1 : How can I split the canvas into 12 equal parts and print them seperately in A4 format. Question 2 : How can I keep the real measurements of the object while importing or printing It? Quote
Staff NathanC Posted March 27, 2023 Staff Posted March 27, 2023 Hi @Mainecoon364, This isn't a workflow i'm overly familiar with personally however I have found an in-depth tutorial linked below which covers converting traced sewing patterns to a Multipage document using A4 artboards and then exporting to PDF ready for printing, hopefully this will be of some assistance. Mainecoon364 Posted March 29, 2023 Author Posted March 29, 2023 Thank you very much. I could not find for a video for Affinity Designer Ipad. I hope this is for Ipad version. If not I go with Inkscape to finish the process. Quote
Mainecoon364 Posted March 29, 2023 Author Posted March 29, 2023 This is for PC version but thanks anyway. Quote
