Selecting Group?

I can't tell if this is a bug but it is different that version 1.9. In the latest software (2.04), I have a simple group, creating a flowchart. A rectangle and text. I right click, turn that into a group. If I click anywhere in that object, it selects a rectangle or text but never the group in the latest software. In 1.9, it always selected the group first. Is this expected behaviour? Is there a way to turn on selecting the group first again in 2.x?

With the Move tool selected, ensure Default is selected in this small popup. You probably changed it to Objects by mistake. Default will select the group by default but if you pick Groups then it will always select the Groups and you won't be able to double click on an object in the group to select just that.
