Affinity Publisher Workflow

Hello,

I am thinking to switch to affinity V2 from adobe. I have a question about workflow for customers.... I am a photographer and I don't do that much jobs with publisher but what is the best workflow today to share files that have indesign? I don't do very complex stuffs, might be some photo book or some brochures.

I know I can import IDML into affinity, and this resolve the issue of buying templates etc... as I can easily open in affinity. But what is the best format to share with indesign users? 

 

Apologies if this a basic question but I am new to indesign/publisher

There is no way to go from Publisher to InDesign, unfortunately.

not even via PDF o PSD, for simple layouts?

InDesign can only place the file formats PDF or PSD into a existing document rather than opening them.

I think I will move to affinity, I don't really have customer asking me for layout today, and if they will tomorrow I guess I can always purchase a "month" of Indesign or whatever. 

It was really to be sure I wasn't missing informations!
