Cannot pick gray colors from a mask layer

Steps to reproduce the bug.
1. Make a new document
2. Add a pixel layer
3. Flood Fill this layer with a red color
4. Add Layer> New Empty Mask Layer
5. Select the mask layer and paint with soft brush
6. alt + click the mask layer thumbnail (display the grayscale mask)
7. Color Picker Tool, change Source: Global to Current Layer on the toolbar
8. pick a color from gray pixel area, but all (R: 0 G: 0 B: 0) color

I can pick gray colors from a mask layer in Affinity Photo V1.
