I know this may be a somewhat unorthodox way of running Affinity software, but I use Photo and Designer both for work and want to sell my Mac, as I just built a new PC. I'm running a Hackintosh Zone version of Yosemite on a VMBox Virtual machine.

The error in the title refers to the absence (!!!!) of the document I have just created in the main viewport. EVERYTHING else works fine, including the Navigation panel, which still renders it fine.

Hopefully someone can enlighten me with a way to fix this.

Thanks,

Daniel S.

Welcome to the forums DanielFS31 :)

You can try un-ticking Use hardware OpenGL option in Preferences > Performance but not sure if it will fix your issue. Running OS X in VM on Windows is very laggy and the majority of Mac apps will give poor performance compared to running the apps on a native Mac machine.

It is not a good idea to produce work product using OS X on non-Apple hardware for legal & practical reasons you probably already know about, but if feel you must, you will probably get the best results if you use a graphics processor as identical as possible to one of the ones Apple uses, including the same firmware.

So called "OTC" (over-the-counter) graphics processors, even ones with the same trade name, do not come with Apple's proprietary firmware installed. This can cause a variety of processing errors & performance issues.
