moonliiner Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Just installed Designer V2 on iPad. Dropbox is the only thing showing under Prefs>linked services. How do I add G Drive there? I have the G Drive app on my ipad. I'm trying to install fonts from my Mac but I have Desktop/Documents in iCloud and the fonts upload to cloud so quickly that installing from there is buggy. Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 You don't. The function currently supports only Dropbox (if you want to add it) and iCloud (which is automatic). 10 minutes ago, moonliiner said: I'm trying to install fonts from my Mac but I have Desktop/Documents in iCloud and the fonts upload to cloud so quickly that installing from there is buggy. I don't understand why the upload speed to iCloud would make installation buggy, so I suspect there may be something else going on. But if the computers are on the same network, I would probably just create an SMB share from the iPad directly to the Mac and access files that way. walt.farrell Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 But also, that linking function is for Linked files that you Place into an Affinity document. Not for fonts. For fonts, just put the files on Google Drive, and navigate there from Preferences > Fonts and then click the Cloud icon at the bottom of the dialog. moonliiner Posted March 18, 2023 Author Posted March 18, 2023 Thanks, perhaps I have a few buggy fonts. From fonts folder in icloud drive some fonts close the dialogue box but never show up in the list. I thought it might be because they were in the cloud but most are working. As an example, Arial Bold Italic will not install but all other Arial fonts work. Also I take it this is a one at a time function? I tried holding a finger down to select multiple fonts but only the last selected actually installs. Quote

I was able to select multiple fonts by clicking their selection circles in the Files dialog that Publisher 2.1 beta opens, and they all installed.
