phillman5 Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 Ordering a T-shirt for my sister. Grabbed a portion of the screen image where thumb nails of shirt of each color shown. However you can kind of read what the shirt says. So paste that into Photo. Use color picker tool see attached. Click anywhere in image and the Front color (see attached) changes to that color. Now if I choose the brush tool (see attached) the back and front colors flip. Why? But this is not always the case, so what am I doing sometimes right? Export as a jpeg. Sometimes the jpeg is automagically B&W. So is the same saved jpeg, then the afphoto is also B&W. This too is not always the case. So what am I doing there sometimes wrong, sometimes right? Sideline. How DO you get an image to be B&W? signed me Befuddled. Quote

That discussion was exactly what I needed. The poster had the exact same feeling I did, why in the ($*&^ was it changing, obviously the color you wanted was the one you picked with the color picker. Its 2 am, I am going to have to restudy the 'whys' again after a fresh cup of caffeine in the morning to really understand the why they did it that way. Seems people know how to change file to B&W, but no explanation why it was doing that on its own. Quote

When this happens, just look in the History to see what unwanted operation you performed by mistake.
