ebbgolf1 Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 I’m still new to Affinity with less than a year of use. However, in using the Detail tab I create a preset which never seems to retain its properties. Each new image I need to return to the Details tab and reset properties. Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. First question, as you're such a new forum user: Are you using the 2.1 beta? If not, this discussion should be moved elsewhere and the Moderators can take care of that. But if you're not using the 2.1 beta, they'll also need to know what release of Photo you are using. Next: If you created a preset in the Develop Persona, you may be experiencing a known issue, where (with a new image) the preset shows as applied, but it isn't. I think you need to click in the preset field and select it again to get it applied. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AFP-1164 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. ebbgolf1 Posted March 16, 2023 Author Posted March 16, 2023 I am using 2.1 Beta. Your remedy is exactly what I’ve been doing to apply it. Nevertheless, additional issues exist. I cannot use the preset at all when I import multiple images (which is 95% of the time). In order to effectively use the preset I can only import one image at a time and process each image. Additionally, I’m having occasion where I complete a process and Develop Persona “develops” and as it begins developing the image looks exactly the way I want. However, when develop is complete the image reverts back to original form. In some cases it partially “develops“ but isn’t complete. Reworking the process usually makes it worse at this point. This process is done prior to publishing images and tweeking exposure if necessary and sharpening. walt.farrell 1 Quote

Can you still replicate this in the latest Beta 2.1.0.1730? 15 hours ago, ebbgolf1 said: Additionally, I’m having occasion where I complete a process and Develop Persona “develops” and as it begins developing the image looks exactly the way I want. Could you provide a screen recording of this in action so I can try to replicate it?
