NotMyFault Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Hi, This looks like fractional positions where used for the surrounding box of the text frame, but we would need to get the actual AP file uploaded to inspect. GarryP Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 (edited) Some observations: The Blend mode of the “with” layer is “Lighten”. The Blend Options Gamma is ‘low’ at 1.45. Edit: See later post. The ‘black’ background of the pixel layer is not totally black, or a uniform colour, so the black background in the Artistic Text layer will show a difference where they meet. Removing the Background Colour of the Artistic text makes the background of the layer go white, which I wasn’t expecting. Reverting the “with” layer to the Defaults gives me black text on a white background, which I wasn’t expecting. Creating a new Artistic layer give me ‘normal’ text as I would expect. I would just delete the problematic layer and create it again – probably just a weird one-off problem unless I’m missing something. Edited March 16, 2023 by GarryP Added note. NotMyFault 1 Quote

I'd just add that I can't see the need for the black background of the text layer in the first place. Why not just put white text on a transparent background and let the background image show through?
