I’m struggling with this situation. I have various groups with many objects within it, and other just single objects outside those groups. I want to be able to click on the group and have all objects selected. It doesn’t seem to do it. I’m doing various operations like trying to change all of the fill color, or stroke, or other formatting options. But it only seems to work when I open the group and select every object in the group. Is there a way to select the Group in the layers panel And have all objects within the group affected?  When I try to marquee select a group of objects, AD operates the same way. It does not apply any formatting to the selection. Once again, I have to go in and select every object in the group to make any change. What’s the trick?

Selecting a group and/or objects within a group is just a case of clicking and/or opening them from the layer panel or drawing a lasso withe selection tool. Performing an action successfully that affects all objects is going to depend on the required action and type of objects within the group though.

Hi @dcgall,

As DM1 has mentioned, you can select multiple layers in the Layers Studio by tapping on the top-most layer in the group, then using 2 fingers to tap on the bottom-most layer, which will select all layers in between.

If you want to change the Move Tool marquee selection behaviour, please select the Move Tool and then from the Context Toolbar open the Select menu and change the behaviour to 'Select Inside Group', then when dragging a marquee selection the objects within the Group will be selected and not the Group itself -

I hope this helps :)
