aste Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 (edited) Hello, new here and hope this isn't a dumb question. Is there a duplicate, or copy action available such that, if changes are made to the original object, those changes also effect the duplicate, or copy of the object? If not, is there a workaround that might facilitate a similar result? Oh, and I have a universal license and use it primarily on Mac-- in case that matters. Edited March 15, 2023 by aste Quote

You can make and use Symbols in Designer. Changes made to any of the symbols will be applied to all of the Symbols. There is no function for applying changes to copies, most likely because a copy is treated as a unique object. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I will look into Symbols, then. Thanks, Bruce. *edit...Symbols look like they will do nicely. Thanks again! Edited March 15, 2023 by aste Quote

Affinity Photo has linked objects created by command Layer > Duplicate Linked When an object is linked, it has a chain link icon in Layers panel which can be double-clicked to open Links panel - see Help for info about that panel. These linked objects use the same technology as Designer's Symbols (and Publisher's Master Pages). Unfortunately, the Links panel is not in Designer and the Symbols panel is not in Photo despite each panel being a usefully different interface to the one underlying technology. Of course, you can easily move a document between the apps, or use the different personas of Publisher, to access both panels. Quote
