poleeto Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 Hi, I have a file that I was working on without any trouble for a while. After after placing some affinity designer files the file won't open anymore or more specific the file open in affinity publisher but crashes after a few seconds. Any suggestions? I had a similar bug on the iPad version a in a earlier version this was fixed with the latest update. Crash report in attachment thanks reto affinity-pub-crash20230314.txt Quote

poleeto Posted March 17, 2023 Author Posted March 17, 2023 when i open the file on my other mac, everything works fine. so i think the problem might have something to do with a log file or cache. Is there a option to clear the cache oder delete the logs? best regards reto Quote
Dan C Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 The file opens fine for me on iPad. iPad's don't specifically let you clear their file cache, generally a full reboot is enough to resolve most issues like this. Lee Quote
poleeto Posted March 17, 2023 Author Posted March 17, 2023 hi lee, the ipad is not the problem, the file is crashing on the desktop version. Quote
Staiwaywit Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 I've also been having difficulties with one file in particular. I've been working on it for a few weeks now, I made an edit to a master page and the whole thing crashed. I've opened the file on MacOS, Windows, and iPadOS and all have them have crashed while opening. Here is the crash report I could pull from it. Affinity Publisher 2-2023-03-19-221118.ips Quote
zantafio Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 sounds like the problem I had I renamed the resources used in this file, so it would open with a warning that resources were missing but doesn't crash. Proceeded to delete the objects using the resources, imported the resources again and saved. that fixed it for me. Quote
poleeto Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 hi @zantafio thanks for the hint, this workaround also solved the problem for the moment . hope it won't happen again. Quote
