Staff TonyB Posted October 10, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 10, 2014 I'm sure AndyS will add this for Affinity Photo so I will see if we can steal it for Designer. ronnyb
jessejanderson
+1 I had no idea how often I used this feature until trying to make the switch... Please Please Please!
Staff MEB Posted November 24, 2014 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2014 Although not directly, you can already do that by duplicating the objects you want to merge, putting them in the same layer and then going to Layer -> Rasterize. n8o
Just wanted to add my +1 as well. I need this for testing mockups on device especially. Apps like Skala Preview will send any screen-sized image on the clipboard to a connected device for preview. Pretty critical for checking iPhone/iPad designs! fwiw Sketch has the preview functionality built-in, but I don't think that's necessary if copy merged is working. Jamchild
+1. This is one of the few remaining things that keep me going back to Photoshop.
Jamchild
Any news on this? This is essential for designing when mixing raster and vector graphics.
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted May 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 15, 2015 We have this in Affinity Photo now - maybe Matt could put it in Designer (if it's not already?). Andy.
Staff MEB Posted May 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 15, 2015 This could be interesting for vector objects too. Sometimes i end up with an illustration (usually icons) that uses parts (duplicates) of other groups and layers that remained in their original layers. It would be useful to select my final ilustration or icon and merge it's vector components in the same single layer (without rasterising them!).
