Windows version conflict when trying to install Affinity V2

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded from V1 and V2. When trying to install V2 on my work laptop, I get the following error message:

App installation failed with error message: Windows cannot install package SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPhoto2_2.0.4.1701_x64__3cqzy0nppv2rt because this package is not compatible with the device. The package requires OS version 10.0.19041.0 or higher on the Windows.Desktop device family. The device is currently running OS version 10.0.18362.1256. (0x80073cfd)

I cannot update my Windows version since this is governed by the company IT policy. Is there any way for V2 to be installed on my W10.0.18* machine?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @nschutten.

You cannot do that at this time, though Serif have said they would try to support Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, if that's what you have. They have not mentioned a timeframe, or even confirmed for sure that they can do it, as far as I've seen.
