phil146 Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Refine Selection in Affinity V1 seemed straight forward and easy to use. In V2 when I use the Refine Selection tool, it does not find the edges of the selection. The selection actually seems to shrink from the edges into the middle of the selected object. What have I missed? Thanks for any help. Quote
RichardMH Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Any chance of a screen shot or video so we can see what's happening. Quote
Dan C Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Hi @phil146, I've quickly tested the Refine Selection tool on a mildly complicated image and the results are as I would expect from the tool, especially with such 'broad' refinement strokes - 2023-03-13 10-29-09.mp4 As Richard has requested, are you able to provide a screen recording showing your workflow, so we can better understand the issue you are having with this tool? If you're unsure how to take a screen recording, please check out our FAQ linked below - Many thanks in advance! Quote
phil146 Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Here's a screen recording. Is my Refine radius too large? Screen Recording 2023-03-13 at 10.28.27 AM.mov Quote
Dan C Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Thanks for providing that - I can see you have the Curves Adjustment layer selected and not the Pixel layer itself. If you select the pixel layer and then use the Selection Brush / Refine Brush functions do you see a better result please? Quote
phil146 Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Hi Dan-Yes, that's much better and looks like what I was used to in V1. Thank you for your help. Dan C 1 Quote
