Staff Pauls Posted March 13, 2023 Staff Posted March 13, 2023 I can see dragging that slider is causing a crash - I'll get that logged Quote
paolo.limoncelli Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 Not only... Also manual input (numeric field) causes the auto-closing of the panel. Quote DAUB® Brushes making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers
paolo.limoncelli Posted March 27, 2023 Author Posted March 27, 2023 Hi! I've been able to grab a report after a crash. Hope this helps!   AP2_Beta_1732_SubBrushEditing.log Quote DAUB® Brushes making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers

Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted April 26, 2023 Staff Posted April 26, 2023 The issue "Crash - Dragging slider on Sub brush settings" (REF: AFP-6042) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1781". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us. Quote
Tony_Ireland Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Hi there @Serif Info Bot - I'm using 2.1.1 of Photo 2 / Design 2 and getting this bug every time I add a sub brush in the brush editor and then try to edit it. 99% of the time the app crashes instantly - very occasionally the sub brush window just closes immediately when clicked and can't be edited - the app crashes trying to access it again. I deleted all custom brushes and did a clean install (without installing any other brush packs) and also updated my OS and the crash is still happening - even if I create a basic round brush with a basic round sub brush and then try to edit that dynamics. I've also tried various combinations of hardware acceleration being enabled / low quality preview etc. I'm on a Macbook Pro M1 Max 32gb / Ventura 13.4.1 and am using a Wacom Intuous Pro Medium with up to date drivers. Thanks! Affinity Crash Log.rtf walt.farrell 1 Quote
Staff Gabe Posted July 24, 2023 Staff Posted July 24, 2023 Can you see if you can replicate it using the latest beta please? Quote
Tony_Ireland Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Hi Gabe, I just tried this out with the 2.2 (1903) Beta and unfortunately I'm still having the same issue - however, I've just noticed something which might help - if I have the hand or move tool selected when I open up the sub brush panel to edit its dynamics, it doesn't crash and works perfectly ... but if I have the brush / eraser tool selected, it either crashes instantly or simply closes the sub brush panel instantly and usually crashes at the next edit attempt. (I haven't checked to see what happens when I have any other tools selected other than these.) Thanks a mil!  Quote
Staff Gabe Posted July 24, 2023 Staff Posted July 24, 2023 Can you please create a new post with a screen recording and a crash report? Quote
Tony_Ireland Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 No problem Gabe - video and log attached. I made sure the hand tool was selected, created a new round brush and then added a sub brush and tweaked its properties which worked as expected. I then switched to the brush tool, went to edit the sub brush and it crashed - hope this helps. Affinity Crash.mp4 Affinity Crash.rtf Quote
