How do I use the code 881887 on photo plus 4 please? The registration box has tons of individual numbers and letters and when I put that in it's not long enough. I'm confused.

The long number is the Product Key which came with the disc when you bought it. You can't install it if you don't have your unique Product Key. Originally you had to contact Serif for a Registration Code, but now you can use the universal code 881887 instead.

Considering how old PhotoPlus X4, is (I'm assuming that's the version you mean) I'd strongly suggest you look at getting something a little more up to date, maybe Affinity Photo!

I believe the universal registration code (881887, not 881997) has always existed, but only a few Dev/QA staff at Serif knew about it. The code was made public when Serif stopped selling the ‘legacy’ Plus range and turned off the registration server.

As far as I’m aware, PhotoPlus 5 (ten versions before PhotoPlus X5) was the earliest retail version of the program.

That's why I assumed dannylondon meant PagePlus X4. (Which I've hung onto, just for Panorama Plus that came with it!)
