indy31
Is there a way to change the extension from .tiff to .tif?.tif is updated automatically in Capture One Pro. for making .tiff visible in C1Pro I have to manually change the extension in the finder, in order to see the developed picture in C1 Pro. Please comment Thanks Paul Bravery

Please comment Thanks Hi indy31, Interesting, I haven't used Capture One Pro so had no problems between .tif & .tiff! I'm keen to see what the devs have to say: Paul. indy31
indy31
Thanks for the reply. For example in MacPhuns Tonality it is possible to change the extension the the file save dialog. That would save a lot of work for Capture 1 users working with AP instead of Photoshop. If you use both, it is also not working Paul Bravery

The app, Preview, also allows exporting the file as .tif instead of .tiff. indy31
indy31
Thank you, if I use both I have to go to the finder again to delete the .tiff file :-) What do you mean with "The app, Preview"? Could you please explain further Thank you :-)

indy31
ahh understood, thanks nevertheless it would be nice to select the .tif extension without detour in AP :-)
indy31
My Capture One Pro Tutorial on Youtube is showing how this is handled in MacPhuns` Tonality, this would also be a great option for AP (Tutorial is in German) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ipayl3ER1a4
crabtrem
I'm wondering if this is more an issue with Capture One Pro, rather than Affinity Photo?
Paul Bravery
I'm wondering if this is more an issue with Capture One Pro, rather than Affinity Photo? Probably, but you'd think that you could choose either .tif or .tiff as an extension…
crabtrem
Probably, but you'd think that you could choose either .tif or .tiff as an extension… I can see your point. But the failure seems to me, to be more that Capture One Pro can't recognize a .tiff extension. And I am hoping that you have not only brought this feature request up to Affinity Photo, but have also logged this as a problem with the people at Capture One Pro. indy31
Capture One Pro can read .tiff files, but not if you are exporting a .tif file from C1Pro. Then it waits on a .tif file to come back.
