safoster71
Greetings! Photo and Designer have developed an interesting issue for me. When i leave my home network they refuse to open for an extended period of time and then give me a error (see attached) not being able to connect to a machine on my home network. They INSIST on connecting, and wont open at all until they do. Not sure why they insist on this computer, as i rarely use it in conjunction with photo. Help? dcarvalho84
That's what i've reported here. You should have any file in the recents stored there.
Staff Jon P Posted March 10 Staff Share Posted March 10 Hi @safoster71, This is something we are aware of, there's been some recent changes in this area so this should hopefully be better in the next build we make available. Thanks for the report Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
safoster71
just to let you know, i killed the preferences and the behavior continued. I replaced the application straight from a new download and the behavior continues. Must be some other place it stores settings?
Staff Jon P Posted March 10 Staff Share Posted March 10 If you delete the MRU.dat file stored in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/appname/ then hopefully that should fix it for you Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
krst
I have the same issue. My NAS sleeps when not in use and I wake it up manually. When a file from the network share is within the recently used files I can't open the Affinity apps.
Staff Serif Info Bot Posted March 22 Staff Share Posted March 22 The issue "App attempts to reconnect to disconnected SMB share on launch" (REF: AFB-7024) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1728". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
