kamarley Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 So, I've tried both v2 installers, and the issue remains. Masking does not work as intended for me. When I add a mask to a layer and ensure that I am using black and white, nothing happens unless I invert the mask. When I invert the mask, it allows me to use the white brush. However, if I want to reverse the change I made, I either have to use undo or the erase brush tool. Switching to the alternative color does not work either. I'm also not sure if this feature was removed, but holding the ALT key plus clicking the mask does not create an inverted mask. Quote
Staff Lee D Posted March 10, 2023 Staff Posted March 10, 2023 Can you do a screen recording of your workflow to see if it can be reproduced. Quote

So Fortunately I was in a position where I could get my hands on a similar build windows PC and install affinity on there and it worked as expected. So I just wiped the problem rig and installed it there and it now works. However, I'm not sure if the Alt+Click is just something I imagined was possible as that does not work on both my windows and mac. Quote

Instead they have made both white and black (Mask & Empty Mask) masks part of the menu. kamarley 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions.
