Affinity Publisher File suddenly corrupted? How to recover?

  1. Which Operating System are you using?  macOS Monterey v 12.6.1
  2. Which version of Affinity did the file last get saved in? Publisher 1.10.6
  3. What drive type was the file last saved to (select more than one if needed)?
    Local disk

 

Worked fine until this morning. Saved, powered down. On restart corrupted and unopenable.All That Remains of Them Volume 1.afpub

Hi @Tom Kaszas and welcome to the forums...

The .afpub file you've uploaded is currently shown as 'Unavailable'... could you perhaps check it and re-upload the file so we can take a look...

Hi Tom,

I'm afraid I've had no joy with your file but I'm hoping one of the team at Serif can take a look at your file to see if they can recover it for you, though there is certainly no guarantee they will be able to...

Thank you very much - I appreciate your help. Worse comes to worst, I'll have to revert to a previous usable version - lost about a week of work - a pain, but not the end of the world by any means and of course - the re-do won't be as good as the lost original.
