chota Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Good morning, I use Designer 1 (first version) or better try to use it 🙂 I have a problem which I dont have in inkscape. I setup a document in size A4 and want to draw a square 1.5m x 2m (meters) but Designer shows me only the segment on the document. Because I dont know how big my drawings could be how can I draw bigger and over the size of my document? Any other program can do this without any changes. The white outline is the document in A4 and the red sqaure is drawn over the document size (picture from in inkscape In Designer would look like the blue square 😞 What Do I wrong? Any help would be great Tabea Quote
GarryP Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Welcome to the forums @chota Use menu “View → View Mode → Clip to Canvas”. Make sure it’s unchecked (unticked) to be able to see what’s off the canvas. Quote
chota Posted March 8, 2023 Author Posted March 8, 2023 Hi Garry. thank you 😍 😘 for that tipp. Damn so easy and I couldn´t find it. Quote
Pšenda Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 But keep in mind that for objects outside the boundaries of the document, you may have a problem with their export. So it is always better for the document to include the entire sketched area. walt.farrell and GarryP 1 1 Quote Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail) Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605.
