Ian Weetman Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Hi Second idiot question i one 24 hour period: having opened the correct app (derr) i now can only get page numbering to show a # rather than a page number in a page number field - this is how it looks on both master and actual pages - any suggestions? thomaso Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Please can you show a screenshot of a document page layout + the according master text frame selected + Preview mode de-activated + in menu Text these two options activated. Ian Weetman Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 Thanks Thomaso -- tis is as near as i can get to following your directions: Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 In that last screenshot, Ian, you still have Master A selected, not a document page. You can tell this from the page navigator at the bottom of the screen (below the Pages panel) which shows Master A. The page number is supposed to be # on the Master page. walt.farrell Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 You're still on Master A: You need to double-click the page you want to see in the Pages panel. It needs a gray highlight. Ian Weetman Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 That has sorted it for me thanks a million, placing that down there is completely counter intuitive to my mind but there you go walt.farrell 1 Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 The other thing to recognize is the difference between a blue highlight on the Pages panel (selected for operations within the Pages panel) and a gray highlight (selected for editing).
