Gamtak Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 Hi Walt, thanks for your allways patient help! i use the font Akzidenz, and tried also adobe garamond, but the problem isn't solved. I also tried it in 'Pages' (a text app from Apple) and there is no problem Quote
MikeTO Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Please turn on Text > Show Special Characters. Are there dots between the words like this? If there are no dots, you might have accidentally assigned the spacebar as a keyboard shortcut for a menu item so that you're not actually typing any spaces? Go to Preferences > Shortcuts and type a space as a shortcut for any command. If it's assigned to something else you'll get a yield sign which you can mouse over to find out which command has spacebar as a shortcut. Then delete the shortcut you've added and find the offending command and delete its shortcut. walt.farrell 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
