I've just found that I can't alter the azimuth value by typing it in: as soon as I alter the Radius, it resets to 135%. This doesn't happen if I set it by click/dragging the dot on the Direction disc; it remains as I set it.

I can not replicate that. What are you applying the FX to? I've tried Curve, text, image, in both Designer and Photo.

Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Here's an example: just a rectangle with the default Bevel/Emboss FX opened.

I manually set Azimuth to 0 and then alter the Radius value.

But when I move focus from the Radius field, Azimuth resets to 135. (The same happens when I change Soften.)

If I change Azimuth (say, to x) by dragging the white dot this doesn't happen; but if I then change that value manually and alter Radius, Azimuth changes back to x. And while I have the View tool active, it makes no difference if I have Move or any other active.
I haven't tested any of the other parameters, nor any of the other FX.

Windows or Mac and versions? This is using the current Beta 1714?

I've tried manipulating all the parameters, adding other FX, and simply can not replicate this.

HI Kasper-V

Are you manually clicking into the Azimuth field, and then manually clicking into the Radius field or are you Shift+Tab/Tab to switch between the fields.

I'm finding this happens when I use Tab - it isn't accepting the field and then reverts back to what was last accepted using return key when I type in the radius field.

Hopefully this illustrates what I was doing. - When I'm moving the mouse between fields I'm using Return to accept the value. When my mouse stops moving you should be able to see the tabbing happening.

I've just spotted something I'd missed before. When I alter Azimuth (or Elevation) manually it does not change the effect on the object, and when I click Close then re-open the FX the value has reset itself. And yes, Sean P, it resets when I tab off but not when I click in a different field.

And today it seems to happen when I adjust the slider, but not when I type in manually, which is the other way about from the other day. Unless I'm dreaming . . . 😟

The issue "Layer Effects/FX Panel no longer accepts field values unless you press return" (REF: PD-456) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1728".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
