Dazmondo77 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 I tried a search and nothing was flagged regarding this issue. Tried to install Frankentoon Splat border and FX vector brushes to latest betas via both in app accounts panel and manually and getting "not responding" for both Designer and Pub everything else in the bundle installs the same as in Retail 2.0.4 which had no problems installing the vector brushes - Tried restarting the router / mac and let the mac sit beach-balling for ages before force quitting - not tried to install other vector brushes yet Heres the last of the eight hang reports: Affinity Designer 2 Beta_2023-02-28-164724_DazMacPro.hang Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 2.2.0 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, Sonoma 14.7.3 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.5.7 Betas 2.6.0(3125) www.bingercreative.co.uk

As they mentioned they can't install it via Account, either, isn't it this pack from the V2 Upgrade offer? It installs fine for me in the Retail and Beta applications on Windows and iPad. Dazmondo77 Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 Correct Walt For me the whole pack installs as expected in Retail but I noticed when I installed the whole pack to Beta 2.1.0.1709 the vector brushes weren't installed and clicking on the download buttons just locks up both Designer and Publisher. It looks as though it could be a bug with vector brushes as I alto tried installing another vector brush pack to the beta which also locks up the app I've also tried exporting a brush pack from retail 2.0.4 but this locks up the app walt.farrell 1 Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 2.2.0 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, Sonoma 14.7.3 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.5.7 Betas 2.6.0(3125) www.bingercreative.co.uk

I've now found it and added it to my account to test with debraspicher and walt.farrell 2 Quote

I'm wondering if it now relates to the size of your Vector Brush propcol - that would also explain why another brush pack has also done that. Are you able to share the list of content in your Vector Brushes Panel please? Is it just content from our store or does it include externally created/added assets? If so would you be willing to share your beta propcol to the Dropbox link above please? Just go to the location below and attach the vector_brushes.propcol file. Dazmondo77 Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 Thanks Sean P Just shared the above to the Dropbox link Bit unusual behavior, as I currently just have the stock vector brushes plus a set of my own brushes in the beta, but loads more in 2.0.4 Retail I just can't seem to be able to install additional vector brushes in the beta I've just tried the drag and drop method with a Frankentoon Mystery box set of vector brushes, which installs instantly in V 2.0.4, but Beachballs until force quit in the latest 2.1.0.1713 Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 2.2.0 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, Sonoma 14.7.3 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.5.7 Betas 2.6.0(3125) www.bingercreative.co.uk
Dazmondo77 Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 Sean P It took a while to complete the upload to the dropbox link but have noticed that dropbox refuses to upload: vector_brushes.propcol Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 2.2.0 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, Sonoma 14.7.3 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.5.7 Betas 2.6.0(3125) www.bingercreative.co.uk
Dazmondo77 Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 I'm guessing there may be some sort of corruption with vector_brushes.propcol in the Betas for me? Just tried copying the vector_brushes.propcol from the retail /Library/Group Containers/6LVTQB9699.com.seriflabs to /Users/dazmondo/Library/Group Containers/6LVTQB9699.com.seriflabs.beta after backing up the original (buggy) vector_brushes.propcol and all seems to be working as expected in the beta and I can again import vector brushes Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 2.2.0 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6, Sonoma 14.7.3 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.5.7 Betas 2.6.0(3125) www.bingercreative.co.uk

But definitely seems a bit iffy! How big was the file? It certainly does seem related to the problematic propcol though! I wonder if compressing to a zip and then uploading the resulting zip would work? Quote
Dazmondo77 Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 Heres the offending vector_brushes.propcol file if you want to check it?
