Hi guys, I'm looking for a method to rotate a pattern

example at 45° without the pattern dimensions changing during the rotation phase. (I'm using a Bitmap type fill because I need it repeated)

I have a pattern of specific dimensions and I would like them to unintentionally not change during the rotation phase (with the fill options). At the top in the fill section I see a "Rotate Gradient" function but it rotates it 90° and it's too much

I tried to rotate the pattern directly with the "move tool" the result obtained is how I want it, but by rotating the pattern by 45° with this method I find the selection in the shape of a rhombus (because logically it was rotated by 45°) when to me the rotation selection is exactly straight and not rotated.

There would also be another method to have the pattern rotated perfectly by 45° and that would be to have it already rotated in the Bitmap and loaded into the fill, but if on other occasions I would like to have it straight instead of rotated the problem occurs again. (I would like to avoid creating different patterns each time for each occasion and always exploit the same one by simply rotating it.

thanks a lot for the help!

Left: Here's a rectangle with a gradient bitmap fill. The Shape is clipped to that

Centre: Select the rectangle and rotate until the fill is orientated as you need

Right: Select the shape and in the transform panel, select the centre anchor point and set the rotation to zero
