The app froze in refined selection ?

So far the beta version has been pretty solid for me. I just had one issue happened to me. When I was doing a refined selection the app froze and I had to restart it again. Then redid the action and it worked fine. I know the selection was pretty complicated with a lots of flyaway hair and the fille is pretty big. But I was wondering if anyone experienced it….

Welcome to the Affinity Forums.

I've just been trying for a while to see if I could also get a crash but I gave up after 5 mins of refining etc.

We did have an issue where long strokes would eventually cause a rendering issue but never lead to a crash (if I recall). It could depend on the size of the document I suppose but I've been trying it on a 24MP image.

It just happened once. So probably not a recurring bug. The file was from a 36MP camera, I have more photos to retouch from my new camera that have 46MP. I let you know if it happens then.

I actually did a video of this editing. I didn’t mention the frozen part since I think now that making a selection that intricate with all the hair flyaways would be too much to ask to any photo editing program.
