Hi

I am using the OTR type font in affinity publisher 2 but it seems to split the letters in to shapes (it still is a text, which can be edited). It looks the same in the PDF. The font works fine in other programs.

Is there some sort of option that is activated but shouldn't?

(my current workaorund is to convert teh text in curves and clean up with the shape builder tool, but this leaves me with curves instead of a textframe)

Thanks for any sort of help, Dean

Hi @Dejan 42, welcome to the forums…

If the text remains editable then it’s functioning correctly. When you say Publisher seems to split the text into shapes is the text not looking how you expect it to look?

Are you referring to the white line cutting through the J, the S and the U? :/

What is the thin vertical stroke below and to the right of the S? What other objects do you have on the page?

It is due to the structure of the font. Some glyphs are composed of several parts and the affected glyphs have "connection problems" at the transitions.

Someone with more expertise will be able to describe it better here.
