I have a 150 page word document with a number of graphic in this document. When I Place  to Publisher I have big problems working with pictures and text. If I have a single page with text and graphics no issues all works perfectly but in a place text flow mode it seems to have a mind of its own. When I drag the picture to another page it  just flips back to it original position and using the different option for how text wraps around  graphics does not seem to work for me once I have text flow in my  design. In the latest verion I have the same issue.

Thanks in advance.

I tried with both version and same isssue. I have a graphic on a page that  Im trying to get the description of the graphic underneath  the image. When I drag the picture to a  different page as soon as I let go the Picture shoots back to its original location. Cannot  get the  description to go  under the image either. Can text flow be turned off after  placing a  word document with Publisher?

You can turn off the pinning of an object with the Pinning panel (except in the 2.1 beta v1709 which has a bug). Then the object can be moved wherever you like.

Thank, for the reply. I tried  that but of no avail. I did discover if I place the word document in a A4 Template I have no issues. The Template Im using is A5. The word document is A4. So it appears it does  not like something in the A5 Template??

I think you'll need to share the document here for somebody to test it.

Can you replace the text with Filler, and insert different images, and still demonstrate the problem? If so, perhaps you could share that?

I used the same template and  filled 188 pages. Then added two graphica and no issues. Worked 100%. Must be something in the word document that Publisher does not like.
