Moofie Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Having a search option in the custom shortcuts settings would be incredibly helpful, including keys that use modifiers for functions. By pressing a key in a search box, you could easily see the function it's tied to, instead of having to go through drop-down menus to find or assign keyboard shortcuts. Additionally, searching for a specific function would show any keyboard shortcuts assigned to it. Hangman, loukash, DDesignDude and 1 other 4 Quote
Hangman Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 @Moofie, welcome to the forums... I think that would be a very welcome addition, something along the lines of Capture One's keyboard shortcut search option... Bobby Henderson Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 In the Shortcuts category within Preferences it would be nice if there was a "View All Shortcuts" page. It's a little daunting to go through various pages trying to see what keyboard shortcuts are already used and remembering them while going through different categories. On the bright side, it's easy to apply new shortcuts and the application will warn of conflicts with existing shortcuts. Quote
Granddaddy Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 There was a Search box for shortcuts in APhoto 1, but it didn't work at all. In APhoto 2.04, the Search box is now removed from the Shortcuts dialog. It appears that Affinity has abandoned any plans to provide such a feature. That's the search for preferences/settings, not the search for shortcuts. It's still present in your 2.0.4 screenshot but it was moved from the upper-right corner to the upper-left corner. I agree that there should be a search for shortcuts but this wasn't it.
