When I try and make a freehand selection, there is always a slight feather around the edges after I click “refine selection”. I have tried all settings for feather, border, ramp, etc to get rid of this so I can have a sharp selection shape but can not find a way to do it.

Any help would be appreciated. Screenshots attached.

Please disregard. I discovered how to create a mask from a selection without having to click “refine mask”.

If anyone is curious, with the selection active, simply go to the layer panel, click the plus sign and “Mask Layer” from the drop down. This will not create an empty mask layer, it will automatically use the selection as the new mask layer.
