All Apps, [1709], Updating, No Prompt to, or Linking to Assets, Brushes, ect from 2.0.4

Updated all apps, and was somewhat surprised when I had to download all the brushes, assets, ect again. There was no prompt when the apps were installed to import from V1 or/especially from V2 (prior beta version) anything.

In each of the Studios, assets, brushes, no way to Link them, the menu option is greyed out.

FWIW, I use the MSIX version, and just updated when prompted upon launching AP. <--- Important because it as the only app the provided a prompt to the update. AD & APub, I had to use the Help Menu Option of Check for Updates. Also when downloading the extras (assets, brushes) I selected the option to Download All.

If you had a prior V2 beta then any migration from V1 would have happened when you installed it for the first time. This update would use the same data you had previously.

There's no migration from 2.0.4 as far as I know.

Ok, however what about maintaining them from the prior Beta? IIRC, all the previous Beta version updates maintained any assets, brushes.

So you're saying that you installed .1709 and lost the brushes, assets, etc. you had in .1706?

That didn't happen when I updated, on either of my Windows systems.

Yep, that's what I'm saying.

Just uninstalled the Beta 1709, and reinstalled the 1706 Beta. Now I'll see if what happens when I update them. I did get a prompt to update each one, when installing the 1706 versions.

There have been other customers who have reported losing assets or brushes with V2 installs (and possibly with 2.1 Beta), but I don't recall if anything is logged about the problem or if a cause has been found.

What I done;

1. Exported all the Assets from the 1706 Beta
2. Removed/Uninstalled them
3. Uninstalled the 1706 Beta versions
4. Re-Installed the 1706 Betas
5. Imported the Assets from #1
6. Updated all Betas to 1709.

All the Assets, Brushes were maintained to the 1709 version. I also noted in the Account/My add ons, the download arrow in cloud, or check depending on if you had downloaded/installed them, is now showing the i in a circle, which is a prompt advising they have been installed and asking if you want to refresh, which I chose not to.
