Windows Unsandboxed and Sandboxed beta builds are now available (2.1.0.1709 onwards)

For the first week of the 2.1.0 beta process there was no Unsandboxed installers available for the 2.1.0 betas, sorry. During that time the Windows 2.1.0 beta downloads from your account were MSIX format only. You will now notice that there is an alternative installer download available, which is the MSI/EXE for the latest build.

You can download it from you account at https://affinity.store/account/downloads where each Windows beta app has both an MSIX and an EXE download link.

Going forward we will keep these download files in sync, and make patches of both available as close to the same time as possible. The patching process for MSIX is much quicker, but the unsandboxed EXE install requires a full download to patch

is this means that there are no in-app delta update for the MSIX in beta? so the MSI and MSIX both requires full download?

Well I am sorry that was mistyped. I've corrected it now.

Hi Patrick, I installed the first 2.1 Beta & can update it from the app but how do I access the unsandboxed version please?

So neither of these update right?

It tells me an update is available, but when I say do it, it gives me an error.

Updating from downloading from the store works of course.

No that's not correct. What error?

The popup said something like

Update can’t be done.

I thought that’s how it was so exited it, then downloaded from the store where my login is, and the update installed fine.

I’ll watch for it next time and if it happens again I’ll screen grab it.

The same happened on all three apps.
