Hi

I am new to Affinity Designer.

I want to export a logo for a business card and a website.

Business Card: Export PNG (transparent background), Resample: Bilinear, Pixel format: 16-bit instead of use document setup, and ICC: use document profile.

My document setup: color profile: is sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and color profile: RGB/8

I am using Bilinear because I read if you shrink the image, you choose this and if you enlarge the image you use Bicubic.

1)  Are the settings correct?  Did I miss anything?

Website:  Export SVG, leave Raster DPI blank, Resample: Bilinear, use document resolution (300 DPI)

2) 1)  Are the settings correct?  Did I miss anything.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

@UserR, welcome to the forums...

At a very basic level...

For your business card you should export this as a pdf to maintain vector graphics in vector format, png isn't really the right format for that. The assumption is you've created your business card artwork at a standard business card size in a 300 dpi document... If the business cards are being commercially printed you should liaise with the printing company and ask them for the pdf specification they would like the artwork exported to and ask whether the file should be supplied as a CMYK file or if they are happy with an RGB file... If it is being digitally printed then an RGB file is most likely the expected colour format but again double check with whoever is printing the business cards, printers should have artwork specifications on their website or if not you should request them to ensure you provide artwork in the format they require.

SVG files are vector files and resolution independent, the dpi is not relevant since the file will be exported at 72 dpi regardless of the document setup dpi or the setting specified in the export dialogue window (only embedded raster images will have a resolution), sRGB would be the document colour profile to use for the web.
