felipe_g Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 Hello Im a regular user of Affinity Photo V02, and I do miss the ability to customize how my panels look. Sure, we can change the size of thumbnails and thumbnail background, but I would love to see more options. Im also a regular Blender user, and I love how it does it. It lets you customize everything... headers, subheaders, colours, shades you name it. I feel that the layers panel gets very cluttered very fast, and the colors/shades/spacing for groups/mask layers/clipped layers are just too subtle. Mask layers are just slightly darker than everything else, layers belonging to to a group are just slightly brighter in blue than everything else Everything in V02 is just too subtle!! Maybe this is fine for some people but give us the option to customize it. Thanks!! Bevc Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 (edited) I couldn't agree more !! The layers panel is THE MOST disappointing aspect of v 2 for me! PLEASE bring back the greater contrast /less subtle! look of v 1. The words on the layers panel are just barely readable due to the almost 0 contrast. No matter what I've done to In Preferences -> User Interface -> UI Brightness/ Contrast / Background Grey Level etc, virtually nothing helps my Layers panel become more readable. When it says "Group" for example, it's SO hard to see. The only things that help at all are choosing Large Thumbnails, or typing in my own label, but even still, those are just not very helpful. (For comparison, look at how readable the left-hand menu of the Preferences panel is when I try to change the User Interface settings! There is decent, readable contrast in that part of the UI!) If I didn't really want some of the new features in Designer, I would just stick with Publisher 1. PLEASE bring back the less cluttered, more usable layers panel of v1!
